VNSNY is a mutual customer of both JDXpert and Payscale, utilizing the pair’s MarketPay Jobs by JDXpert product. Before MarketPay Jobs, VNSNY used Microsoft Word to create and collaborate on job descriptions, housing them within SharePoint. However, SharePoint’s functionality made it difficult to accomplish essential job description-related tasks. Its limited versioning history and inefficient search functions made it challenging for administrative staff to locate older versions of job descriptions. Unless managers had specific information to search by, such as a job code, information was difficult and time-consuming to find. Every time a job description needed an update or had to be reviewed to ensure compliance or to reference old verbiage, the process was cumbersome and inefficient. Employees were spending too much time managing these tasks, and timelines were often extended, complicating the workflow. Like many organizations in 2022, VNSNY is challenged by staff shortages. They were looking for ways to simplify their job description management process and needed a new, better way of creating, editing, and storing job descriptions to shorten timelines and enable working in a hybrid environment.
